Esther McCant (Certified Doula)
Esther McCant is the founder and CEO of Metro Mommy Agency (MMA) and has provided labor support to over 100 mothers. She has also served hundreds of mothers in South Florida through childbirth education, breastfeeding support, and other postpartum doula services. She also serves as the Education and Communication Coordinator for the Jasmine Project, a program aimed at providing wraparound services to reduce infant mortality rates.

Sheila Simms Watson (Licensed Community Midwife)
Sheila Simms Watson is a licensed midwife who aims to empower women in their child birthing experience. She established Spirit of Life Traditional Midwifery, which is an independent homebirth practice. With over 20 years of experience, she has and continues to support women birthing in hospitals, birthing centers, and her favorite – homebirths.

Rebekah Antoine (Certified Doula)
Rebekah Antoine is a member of the Southern Birth Justice Network, where she leads the organization’s outreach and community engagement efforts. She is dedicated to birth equity and closing health and education related disparity gaps affecting communities in South Florida. She has her midwifery certification and continues to work to improve birthing experiences through highlighting cultural practices and advocating for holistic support for birthing.

Jamarah Amani (Licensed Community Midwife)
Jamarah Amani is a licensed community midwife dedicated to birth equity through tackling the epidemics of Black maternal and infant morbidity and mortality for over 15 years. She is the executive director of Southern Birth Justice Network, a non-profit organization which aims to make midwifery and doula care accessible to all. She is also the co-founder and director of National Black Midwives Alliance, the only national professional association specifically for midwives of African descent.

Na’imah Delpeche (Certified Doula)
Na’imah Delpeche is a prenatal wellness consultant, childbirth advocate, labor doula, and childbirth educator who has over 17 years of experience. Her expertise includes providing care to women in hospitals, birth centers, and home births. When working with clients, she aims to prioritize pregnancy and labor, comfort measures, breastfeeding and partner preparation.

Southern Birth Justice Network
The Southern Birth Justice Network is a Mobile Midwife Clinic offering culturally sensitive midwifery care. Expecting families may consider receiving care from a midwife or doula as they offer prenatal checkups and general support throughout pregnancy. Metro Mommy Agency
Metro Mommy Agency (MMA) works to assist families in having a healthy birthing experience including within hospitals, birth centers, and homebirths. The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place offers several services to help families throughout pregnancy and into postpartum such as lactation services and doula care services. The Gathering Place aims to empower families and ensure they have positive birthing experiences. Other services offered include breastfeeding counseling, childbirth education, and support groups.

Magnolia Birth House
Magnolia Birth House, an extension of The Gathering Place, is a licensed birth center in Florida dedicated to providing prenatal care and birthing services to low-risk pregnant clients. Their philosophy includes assisting families in “being present and in control of how they approach pregnancy and birth”. They also are available to clients with private insurance and (some) Medicaid insurance plans.
